Ride the first SIA A380/Dreamliner first flight slips into late September - Rmail

Singapore Airlines says demand for seats on its first A380 flight between Singapore and Sydney is so high that it will offer the seats at auction and give all the money to charity.

In response to requests from people all over the world to be passengers on the first flight, Singapore Airlines will auction the seats on global online marketplace, eBay.

This is the link to get more details and to register for the auction.

Also Wednesday, Boeing said the first flight of the 787 Dreamliner has slipped into late September. That's at the end of the monthlong window that Boeing had previously said extended from late August.

In a conference call with analysts and media to report on second-quarter earnings, Boeing CEO Jim McNerney said Boeing is confident it can make that late September date. I'll have much more on this later today.
